Hear firsthand about Kevin's ISS GMT experience

Kevin holds two Business Bachelors degrees in Banking and Finance, and International Business, in what he describes as a generalist business background. He found the ISS GMT programme key to transferring this knowledge to potential career pathways. The programme provides business and workplace experience across a range of sectors and industries as he explains below.

What inspired you to join the ISS GMT programme?

I found the wide exposure to many sectors and industries offered by ISS very appealing and the opportunity to join an international exchange. Coming from a general business background, I was looking for ways to explore my potential career pathways, and the GMT programme seemed like a perfect fit for me at the time.

How has the programme helped you develop your skills in your chosen field?

From the beginning, I discovered my love for data, finance and strategic work. I expressed this to my managers throughout my programme, and they were incredibly supportive. They provided me with opportunities to develop my skills in these areas, and I was able to work on several individual projects to improve our work processes and gain valuable experience.

How has the experience prepared you for the workforce?

The high level of collaboration across all levels of the organisation has enabled me to learn from others and prepare for future roles.

Did you work overseas as part of the GMT programme?

Yes, I had the chance to participate in an international exchange program. I chose ISS Norway as my destination.

As a passionate advocate for gender equity, Louisa also loves celebrating all events on the ISS cultural calendar which has led her to double hat in the unofficial role of event coordinator.
“Anything that recognises and celebrates each person’s individual uniqueness and value is very meaningful for me and I enjoy sharing that with our team. A shout out to all of the superstars of the Nathan Campus and Mt Gravatt Campus teams!” She says.

I have seen a shift in people’s attitudes around what they think women are capable of, including women themselves.
