Governance

Corporate Governance

Transparency, constructive stakeholder dialogue, sound decision-making processes and controls are key aspects of our corporate governance for the benefit of ISS and our stakeholders.

Oversight and risk management

Governance at ISS provides a best-practice structure for consistent performance and disciplined risk management. Local operations align with global standards through defined responsibilities, documented controls and accountability at every level. This approach creates transparency across complex portfolios and supports well-governed decision-making.

ISS Pacific maintains a comprehensive library of local policies – including Safety, Environment, Quality, Privacy and Security Licensing – that set expectations for how work is planned, delivered and monitored across all sites.

ISS Pacific supplementary policies and licences

In conjunction with the ISS Corporate Governance documents, ISS Australia and New Zealand demonstrates commitment to good corporate governance and behaviour at a local level through the following policies and licences.

Management systems and compliance

Our services operate under internationally recognised management systems and audited frameworks, providing a verified foundation for consistent service delivery.

Audited frameworks

ISS Pacific holds: ISO 55001: (2024 Asset Management); ISO 9001 (Quality); ISO 14001 (Environment); ISO 27001 (Information Security); ISO 55002 (Asset Management). These external audits confirm that systems are structured and reliable.

Regulatory alignment

We review policies regularly to reflect changes in legislation, licensing and privacy requirements across Australia and NewZealand. This ensures ISS remains compliant within every sector where we operate.

Data integrity

Operational information, including energy, safety, and service levels, is captured through structured controls. Data is managed with the same discipline used in financial reporting, supporting accuracy, traceability and assurance readiness.

Ethical standards

The ISS Code of Conduct sets the behavioural expectations for everyone representing ISS. It establishes how we work with integrity, fairness and professionalism, regardless of contract scale or operational complexity.

Supply chain transparency

Supplier evaluation

Suppliers are assessed for safety performance, financial stability, ethical labour practices and alignment with ISS standards. This supports responsible procurement and ensures the integrity of the services delivered.

Human rights due diligence

ISS is committed to protecting human rights across its operations and supply chain. Our Modern Slavery Statement details how we identify, assess and address risk through structured due diligence, supplier engagement and ongoing review.

Accountability and reporting

Governance insight

Internal governance structures monitor compliance with ISS policies and uphold a zero-tolerance approach to bribery, corruption and misconduct. These mechanisms reinforce ethical conduct and provide a clear escalation pathway when concerns arise.

Speak Up reporting

The ISS Speak Up platform provides a confidential, independently managed way for employees, contractors and partners to raise concerns safely and without retaliation. It is supported by our Whistleblower Policy, which sets out the protections and procedures that apply when concerns are reported.
