ISS Fast-Track Inclusion and Diversity Commitments to Our People

ISS Australia and New Zealand has launched our new Inclusion & Diversity Strategy for 2109-2020. The strategy sets our I&D vision, commitments, targets and actions to create a balanced and inclusive workforce
ISS is a people-focused business, with 14,000 unique individuals across the Pacific. We have some Inclusion & Diversity rates to be proud of, including 50/50 male/female split in our front line operations, 132 languages spoken and 143 nationalities represented in our business.

We recognize that we can do more to create greater gender and cultural balance and we are striving to become an ‘employer of choice for gender equality’ through the WGEA citation. I&D goes to the core of ISS’ culture – it is integral to the delivery of our strategy and company values, with a focus on empowering our staff and treating everyone with respect. Our research has also shown that a more balanced organization will drive improved performance through better decision making and innovation, as well as attracting top talent.

ISS’ new I&D Strategy has some hard-hitting targets for our organization covering important I&D metrics including Pay Equity, Leadership, Talent Pipeline, Gender Composition, Flexibility and providing greater opportunities for Indigenous and Disadvantaged Job Seekers. Priorities include closing the gender pay gap, reaching Indigenous Employment target of 3% and increasing women in leadership roles to 40%. We will also expand our senior mentoring program to support talented women in our business.

ISS is leading the way in I&D within our industry. Our Leadership team and the entire business is behind our new I&D strategy which aims to create a workplace which “builds strength from our diversity and empowers all our people to reach their potential”.
