Topic Caterers Acquired by Global Facility Services
One of Western Australia ’s largest catering companies, Topic Caterers, has been acquired by ISS Facility Services Australia (ISS).
The acquisition of Topic Caterers makes ISS one of the top three service providers to the resources industry in Australia .
“Until now, the catering and villages services market in Australia has been dominated by 2 key players,” says Charles Blinkworth , CEO of ISS. “With the emergence of ISS in this sector, natural resources companies now have a real choice available to them in sourcing their catering, cleaning, security and village services provision.”
Since starting in 1986, Topic Caterers has grown to employ 200 people and has revenues of $32 million a year. “Topic Caterers are looking forward to new opportunities that will no doubt eventuate as a result of this acquisition,” says Steve Topic, Managing Director of Topic Caterers. “We look forward to working together to provide the service that clients in the mining and remote regions are seeking”.
Topic Caterers are involved in contracts with Fleetwood Pty Ltd, HWE, Pilbara Manganese, Barminco, Magellan Metals, Crescent Gold and Fox Resources to mention a few. Through these contracts, services are provided to mining sector giants such as BHP, Rio Tinto and Woodside.
